The National Association of Speedway Racing is pleased to announce that it has acquired the rights to the JQMA thanks to current JQMA owners Karen and David McLean and Helen Brien.
In a deal offered to NASR by the current owners, the control of the division has been handed to the peak body to continue promoting and operating the JQMA.
“We are extremely grateful that Karen, David and Helen have entrusted us to lead the JQMA into the future,” said NASR General Manager Tim McAvaney.
Karen McLean was equally enthusiastic.
“We believe that NASR is in the best position to grow the division nationally through their extensive network – and that’s what we want to see, a strong and vibrant JQMA.”
“NASR will be able to provide further stability to the division, as currently administrators usually leave when their children graduate to a senior division.”
Each state JQMA club will now meet annually to form the JQMA Management Committee, to discuss any issues and proposal rule changes, advising the NASR Board.
The day to day running of the JQMA will be in the hands of each state JQMA club, with the division being centrally administered through the NASR National Office.
